There's some speculation as to what's happening at our most lavish eatery, The Picture House. It’s been closed all week for food (though the bar remains open). The board outside apologises. There's talk in town about debts or hygiene or fewer covers or unpaid staff.Rather than these alarming rumours, as far as we can tell, the story is that there was a kitchen fire on 2 April after which the chef's not turned in. Will this mean the Picture House will be functioning normally soon? Anyone able to add anything?
It was not to difficult to find an alternative, on Friday evening. Rhuthun/Ruthin's blessed with other quality restaurants and we found a small table quite easily.
I see from Das Bild Haus' website (see picture, click to enlarge) that the head chef is referred to both as Jamie and Jason.
