Carrying on in something of a recent tradition, we’re today starting the Rhuthun/Ruthin Blog Christmas Quiz 2009. In addition to any ‘standard’ posts we may bring you, there will be one quiz question per day between now and 24th December 2009, with answers published at the end, soon after. Remember to drop by each day to take part.
With everyone in the media glancing back 20 years to 1989 (Berlin Wall, Tiananmen Square, Czech Velvet Revolution, Timişoara & Ceauşescu, and much more), we thought we’d go back, too, and see how much people remember of 1989 Rhuthun. It was a famous year around the world, after all.
If you weren’t born then or weren’t living in Rhuthun, never fear. We hope it well get you thinking about the changes here in the last 20 years. And, when you see the answers, maybe you’ll think, “wow, the world *was* different, back then”.
