Those with connections at Ysgol Brynhyfryd will know of the recent significant building work at the school. Officially open on Saturday will be the latest addition: the adult education centre or, to give it its proper title, the Community Learning Centre. It’s a partnership between school, nearby Coleg Llysfasi, Coleg Harlech and Prifysgol Bangor. Funded by European capital, it aims to provide a flexible, technologically advanced and welcoming ‘space’ to meet local adults’ needs.
The building’s on former semi-derelict land adjacent to the old school. It seems that from this point forward, Brynhyfryd is no longer merely a ‘school’ but a ‘campus’.
