Fancy buying a house? Try Rhuthun/Ruthin. It seems that along with the draw of an excellent bilingual school, superb scenery and small town feel, comes the prospect of Tesco as a selling point for your property.

In its advert, it states, “The popular market town of Ruthin in the Vale of Clwyd is only 4 miles away which boasts the Ruthin Castle Hotel, as well as many pubs, restaurants and all your local shopping needs. There is also a new Tesco store under construction, which is due to open in the autumn of 2006.”
So there you are. No wonder the asking price’s £575,000 (for the house, not Tesco’s store).
