... is give peace a chance.

Late morning on Friday and it was quiet in town. Those who gathered by the clock tower for yesterday’s peace vigil effectively more than doubled the number of people on St Peter’s Square. 

The irony of the vigil, meanwhile, was that in the background you could hear as an accompaniment in the distance the crackle of salvos of *guns* repeatedly going off at the firearms training range between Rhuthun/Ruthin and Rhewl. This somehow seemed inappropriate during a vigil and it was such a shame that the police couldn't have postponed their training.
