Relocation Relocation Relocation

This is the tidiest that the former Ruthin News under Corwen Carpets has ever been. The unit wasn't big enough for the carpet shop and, a as result, always looked somewhat chaotic.

If I were a gambler, I'd guess that there will be a new occupant on site, soon. If a trader relocating from Clwyd Street, they will join Bijou and Lewington in exiting Clwyd Street, where footfall is particularly problematic. Or at least it was. We now have Becws Islyn. With John Jones the butcher opposite, footfall may have improved.

In good news for Well Street, though, Corwen Carpets is now in the former Vale Carpets' shop, as of yesterday. Vat's an 'empty' now filled. Vale Carpets proprietor vanished suddenly in late winter and has not been seen since.

Onlooker reads the closure & moving notice at the antiques shop where Beresford Adams once was

Meanwhile, notices in the window of the antiques emporium state that they are relocating and this will result in *another* empty shop unit (the former Beresford Adams building). While it will be cheaper for them to rent at their Lôn Parcwr destination, there'll be next to no passing trade. Not that there's terribly much in the way of footfall in Rhuthun/Ruthin at the best of times, these days.
