The local paper has at last caught up with the fact that Rhuthun/Ruthin is the best place to live in Wales. It has lagged behind the Daily Post and, of course, social media, though it's somewhat surprising that social media's been so quiet on the fact—perhaps because this isn't controversial.
In the Denbighshire Free Press, then, is this from one of our county councillors:
No one could ever argue with that. But, no one these days ever uses the phrase 'jewel in the Vale'. It was frowned upon by other less fortunate even perhaps jealous towns and Rhuthun dropped it.
