Deliveroo Refocuses Delivery Office

News today is that Rhuthun/Ruthin has stolen a march on Dinbych and Yr Wyddgrug to become the first town locally to benefit from a Deliveroo office. Fittingly, Deliveroo has chosen the former Royal Mail sorting & delivery office (on St Peter's Square, next to the post office) to support its riders and act as its base.

A now empty delivery office at the post office to become a Deliveroo office instead

It was in late January (we're not entirely sure when) that Royal Mail closed the Rhuthun sorting & delivery office. Along with the Dinbych Bull Lane office, it has transferred to a site on Dinbych's Colomendy industrial estate.

No more red vans or trucks on the Square at dawn, then. Instead, we can expect blue cyclists with their oversized blue bags. City eating comes to Rhuthun. But cyclists are going to find the hills hereabouts a bit of a struggle.

We're not totally sure but we understand that the post office itself on the Square is currently safe. We think that Huw Hilditch-Roberts has a further seven years on his lease. So, in 2030, might the post office relocate altogether, as it has in virtually all our tows? Perhaps to the Co-op? Perhaps to B & M? Even Ruthin Décor has space.
