In the news today and covid-19 is now affecting one in 50, according to broadcast news.
This is the first time the coronavirus has been mentioned in news summaries, since July. And, once regularly mentioned on this blog, I've mentioned it only seven times so far this year.
One in 50 in Rhuthun/Ruthin translates to some 112 people.
The figure has risen from one in 65. But that's England. Wales is already at one in 50. The beginnings of the current wave are nevertheless evident, with worrying talk of a 'twinedmic' to include a rise in seasonal flu. The one in 50 figure is to week ending September 26th, so a fortnight later expect that figure to be worse.
