Well, I got that wrong. Not the first two places but the third. Having predicted that Gavin Harris would pip Bobby Feeley at the post for the third of three Denbighshire council Rhuthun/Ruthin seats, I find that I was wrong... by 68 votes.
As elsewhere in Wales, the Conservatives, who in Rhuthun fielded three candidates, did poorly. The highest was Rachel Ryland with 207 votes. She will have to seek comfort in her guaranteed seat with the town council. If you add together all the votes for the three Conservative candidates, you reach a total of 427. The Green Party candidate polled 282, ahead of any of the Conservatives.
Huw Hilditch-Roberts and Emrys Wynne came first and second and that was as expected. Along with Feeley, it's no change at Rhuthun/Ruthin.
