Off a Cliff

There are more problems along the Cunning Green. On March 31st, a structural engineer examined the Lord's Garden wall along the Cunning Green perimeter side. This was because staff had noticed that slate on the elevated path at the edge of the site had begun to disappear. Apparently, there was evidence of cracking and movement in the wall.

The engineer recommended that the path in The Lord's Garden be closed. There wasn't a specific concern as such but the problem did warrant further investigation. At this stage, the engineer was unsure whether the problem was at the top or the foot of the wall. Either way, this will take time and, especially if at the bottom, money.

Watch as we see red barriers and orange tape appear in the otherwise green garden to replace the benches that current try to prevent you from accessing the affected part of the site...

All things considered, the poor old Cunning Green really is in a bit of a state at the moment.
