Lift-off... again

Data released today shows the extent of covid-19 in Rhuthun/Ruthin, with Rhuthun once again attracting the highest number of infections per 100,000 in all of Denbighshire, and by some margin. At 1,803 per 100,000, that now equates to over 100 people. It's now difficult to attribute one cause, because of the way these are reported. We do know, however, that more regionally the 10-19 year group is no longer the highest, replaced by 20-29 year olds, perhaps because of returning university students.

The number of infections in Rhuthun per 100,000 in 2021, to 15/12/21

Comparing two months ago to December 15th and Rhuthun twice stands out. The mid-December figure indicates that Rhuthun sees twice as many infections per 100,000 than the next highest communities, Corwen and Y Rhyl SW.
