Will the price of unleaded fuel ever stop rising? Petrol in Rhuthun/Ruthin is currently £6.68 pre gallon at Bridge Services and, seen here, £6.72 at Dyffryn Services. Diesel prices in November peaked at £6.86 at Dyffryn Services, as is seen by the image, below. 

In the 12 months to date, the petrol companies have put up fuel by 27 per cent. The previous record for unleaded in Rhuthun/Ruthin was in September 2012, when petrol reached £6.45 per gallon, before hovering, dropping slightly and then dropping more dramatically. 

It was only in November that these increases generally reached the media, which drew its own conclusion that people may have grumbled but they were not particularly concerned. The amount of traffic has not reduced and, if anything, is slightly higher now than the pre-coronavirus position. Tis in spite of up to a quarter of workers still worming from home permanently or partially.
