Inane quote of the week, from the RAC on the continued pressure on fuel price, as appeared on the Daily Post website 25/10/2021:
How did Williams relate this to COP26 when, surely, higher fuel prices will encourage fewer discretionary journeys and more car sharing, all good things. The Daily Post recognised this when it said, 'Rising prices at the pumps has encouraged many motorists to consider switching to electric vehicles' though they gave no evidence of this.
RAC fuel spokesman said, 'With just two weeks to go until COP26, we call on the government to take action and do whatever it can to help ease the burden on drivers'.
