A sad day for Rhuthun/Ruthin is the announcement this morning that the Army and Navy will not reopen after lockdown. This store provides a unique service for Rhuthun and one that has been with us for over 30 years, in the current Well Street premises or in Upper Clwyd Street. It's irreplaceable... at least I doubt anyone will venture to stock such garments and equipment in the future. Wynnstay Farmers and Morgan's stock some items but nothing like the range. Still, at least there's Cherry Free Country Clothing on Lôn Parcwr. Pity, though, that they couldn't somehow migrate to town.
We understand the proprietrix is not in perfect health and we wish her a long and happy retirement, with our thanks, from three generations of this family.
