Today, off the record, I heard that the peak of deaths in North Wales is likely to be somewhere between the middle of May and early June 2020. It appears to be lagging London and the west midlands, where the peak could be as early as Easter Day, April 12th. In North Wales, the dark tunnel gets longer and longer.
Everyone at work—mostly all in their own homes, of course—are labouring very hard & putting in long hours to minimise the impact of what's happening around us. I marvel at the way in which different occupations and people with different professional backgrounds & professional viewpoints are setting their differences aside. All are working steadfastly together in a renewed, refreshing & purposeful way, in co-operation and with goodwill. Gone is the rivalry. Gone is the mistrust. Gone is the antagonism. This is so positive. We all know the world will be different after this epidemic. Is it too much to hope that we can carry on is this new vein?
