Yesterday, planning notices went up at the rear of the Glasdir estate advising those who cared of a "major development". This, then, is the final phase of the Glasdir housing estate, when Taylor Wimpey will rip up the existing footing slabs and start again. If this seems wasteful, perhaps the slabs were not constructed to the correct height. They
pre-consulted on this in July.
Expect the existing part-complete houses to come on stream soon—unless they're demolished. They need work. One is showing significant deterioration owing to damp: there's a gap in the guttering and both rear downpipes are not attached.
