Awkward

You'd think that the pope or the archbishop of Canterbury or someone would have thought this through. Christmas Eve falling on a Sunday? That ain't good for trade, not at all. Remember, it's the winter spending festival, after all. All rather awkward. So, what did we have? Struggling to make the most of the short Sunday six available hours, we saw queues around Tesco and modest lines at the Co-op check-out.

And what of that last minute non-grocery present? Limited choice in Rhuthun/Ruthin. Probably easiest downloading a printable Amazon voucher. It must've been a gift for Amazon.

Yet, in town, there were a few stores hardy shops open today:

The pop-up Christmas shop in the former Artefacts, Well Street
Siop Nain (cards/novelty side; not café)
Mococ (as ever, on a Sunday)
Choo Choo x3
Castle Bell
Bijou
Wildcatz
John Jones bucthers
J's Barbers
Oliver's
The new barber on Clwyd Street
Costa (the busiest I've seen it) (but not Chatwin's)

Plus Tesco, Co-op and B & M, naturally.
