Action in Rhuthun

Immigration Enforcement outside the Happy House this evening

First, it was Flame & Grill to get a visit from Immigration Enforcement who, on November 14th, arrested three Bangladeshi. This evening, the agency was out in Rhuthun/Ruthin again, initially visiting Happy House. This evening, it closed (we understanbd it will re-open on December 1st).

Within Ruthin Tandoori shortly before 9.00 p.m.

Later, they were seen at Ruthin Tandoori. Here, three officers bejewelled with handcuffs, were moving from front to back, eventually catching and bringing one man out from the back via the side gate who seemed to have fled but by this time was unable to use his right leg. He was in obvious pain, supported by two of the officers. Perhaps this was after a fall or even a jump from a window. Who knows. Within, the officers were seen with photographs of suspects. We await further details.

Meanwhile, the proprietors of Flame & Grill face a fine per person of up to £20,000 for the three Bangladeshi, if it is proven that they failed to check work and residency entitlements. Although Flame & Grill closed on November 14th, it reopened but, again, who knows what effect such fines may have on a small business. Flame & Grill is surely one of our friendliest stores.

Ruthin Tandoori recently celebrated its 15th year. Happy House is very popular with boarders of Schola Ruthinensis. Sometimes, you see them sitting the wrong side of the customer counter and this doesn't give a good impression.

In February 2010, a Sri Lankan was found working illegally at Bridge Services. In December 2007, the Panda Garden was raided.
