As a nation, we might've fallen out of love a little with Tesco but there was scant evidence of this at lunchtime today. Regular readers will know that from time to time we count things (and people, such as the number using Tesco). So, after the enforced Easter Day supermarket closure, families were relieved to get back out there and into a supermarket. Today, at 12 noon precisely, the peak shopping point of the bank holiday, 125 people were in the Rhuthun/Ruthin store. This compares to 10 in the Co-operative, two of whom were off-duty staff chatting with two shop assistants. So, that's ½ per cent at the Co-op of those in Tesco. To be fair to the Co-op, though, recently there's been a noticeable upswing in patrons… but obviously not today.
