Clearing an Eyesore?

What was this small group of people doing this afternoon? Two of them had just been in the Co-op to buy matches. These were used to set fire to foliage that was cleared from the rough ground on Wynnstay Road immediately behind the former Santander office. So, perhaps this problem area of land is at last being made good.

There is, of course, outstanding planning permission on this portion of land for up to three dwellings and this, no doubt, is the motive for the clearance.
