Who was it who said shops would be opening on Sunday before Christmas? Here's what we found today:

• Tesco, B & M , Co-op Station Road supermarkets & department store: all open as usual
• Ruthin Décor: open as usual
• Pet Shop: open as usual
• Castle Bell groceries and news: open as usual
• Bar Llaeth and Costa Coffee: open as usual
• Ruthin Wine Sellers: open as usual
• Mococo: open now as usual
• Newly opened for Christmas: Siop Nain, Choo Choo*, I'r Dim
• Said that they were open but not: Beresford Adams estate agency

And that was all...

*—both Choo Choo shops had announced they were open. The clothes shop occupying the former Majestic Travel was closed but the gift shop at the former Dodd's estate agency was open
