Tuesday it was when the upper part of Clwyd Street to St Peter's Square was shut off to traffic, to allow for mains replacements. If all goes to plan, it will stay shut for no longer than a fortnight, till 16 March.
This follows traffic lights along the lower stretch of Clwyd Street, from 28 February and before that, work without traffic lights, near to and on the junction of Mwrog Street.
This is the closest we will probably get to seeing the effects of any pedestrianisation in the town. It would make crossing Clwyd Street a pleasure were there not workers and orange barriers all over the place. Other than noise associated with the work, the place seems somewhat quiet, even though cars were still parking in Clwyd Street.
