Spectacular

This is the word I would use to describe the harvester on fire on the roadside on Wrexham Road, on Friday evening. Returning to Rhuthun/Ruthin, I happened upon the fire at the same time as a fire engine arrived, just before 10 p.m. By then, the road was blocked. It almost appeared as if there was a house on fire, with flames leaping significantly into the air. What was happening was the diesel within was combusting, and at some considerable rate. The road remained closed much of Saturday morning and there remains the stench of heavy oil along the footpath, even this morning. It seems diesel poured out for quite some distance down the slight gradient, for about 900 yards, in fact.
