Saturday update: please remember that the town itself remains open for business!

An incredibly busy weekend and week ahead in Rhuthun/Ruthin so, if you’re reading this on Saturday, may we urge you to take part in the events planned for you.

• The Medieval Weekend and Country Show starts Saturday and concludes Sunday. Access with parking is off the Northern Link Road or via for pedestrians via the football pitch.
• The Produce Market needs your support, Saturday from 10 a.m in the Old Gaol.
• St Peter's Church is holding a special annual fête Saturday afternoon, no less than the Septencentennial Summer Fair, as part of its 700th anniversary celebrations.
• There’s a procession from the site of the former Garrison Chapel (Town Mill) at 10.15 a.m. and 700th anniversary service in St Peter's on Sunday.
• Gwyl Rhuthun Festival starts on Monday 28th for the week including Top Dre/Top of Town on 3rd.
