Blackcurrant, Clwyd Street, previously thought closed, has re-opened after a refurbishment. That's one less empty unit in Rhuthun/Ruthin.
Several of those empty units have recently received some attention. The former MDM Resales garage sale/bric-a-brac has, for example, seen an interior paint up. Signs in the mpty shop windows advertise the unit at £75 per week rent. The location at the junction of Clwyd Street and Mwrog Street isn't necessarily the best and is without legal parking. In the recent past, it's been the long-standing Organics grocer, MDM and for a short while, All Sorts, selling literally something and nothing. MDM also closed, re-opened and, a fortnight ago, closed for good.
Parlour Antiques, having abandoned their plans to open in the Square, have settled for the former health & safety shop at the junction of Clwyd Street & Upper Clwyd Street (before that a barber and financial services company, in recent times).
