On sale from today is Rhuthun’s first nude calendar. Ever since the Yorkshire WI ‘Calendar Girls’ first stripped off for charity in 2000, there have been a number of impersonations. Rhuthun’s 2008 calendar features 12 young and not-so-young men, shot at close quarters, all turning the other cheek, heb clothes. We’re advised that it’s all very tasteful.
All taking part from local photographer Chris Birchall, to the printers to the outlets selling the calendar have agreed not to take a cut. Proceeds of the Cheeky Chappies Charity Calendar 2008 will go to the cancer unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
The man responsible is Roger Everett of Ruthin Autoproducts. The calendar’s available from the stars themselves and from a number of outlets, those in town being Birchall’s studio, Tommy's, Sun Tân, Cellar Cycles and Ruthin Body Repairs. Details here
