Moving

The relative health of Rhuthun’s town centre is again demonstrated by recent changes in the lock-up shop stock. Clwyd Street, though, could be in trouble.

Porth-y-Dwr/Watergate tea rooms (Clwyd Street) has sold, subject to contract. Similarly, at Friday’s auction in Llandudno, both 15 Clwyd Street (7-Twenty clothing) and Key Properties at 33A Clwyd Street sold STC, the latter we understand sold with sitting tenants. Ironically, Beresford Adams handled the auction for the property currently let to one of its competitors.

Also in Clwyd Street, the clothes shop to the west of 7-Twenty, Apparel (15A Clwyd Street), is also on the market, as a going concern, for some £235,000. That to the east nos. 11-13 , once Uproar, are now vacant, having finally closed last week. Uproar is apparently waiting premises on Lôn Parcwr industrial estate.
